We only collect information you choose to give us, plus basic technical information that websites commonly collect.

• Email sign-ups. When you sign up for the Weekly Checklist or other free resources, we collect your first name and email address.
• Contact form. When you send a message, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
• School and organization inquiries. If you contact us about a school or group, we collect whatever you include in your message, such as your role and organization. Please don't include student names or any information about specific children.
• Technical information. Like most websites, the Site and its hosting provider may automatically collect things like your browser type, device type, pages visited, the page you came from, and an approximate location based on your IP address. See "Analytics and cookies" below.

We don't ask for payment information on this Site. Books and products are sold through third-party stores (such as Amazon and Gumroad), which handle payment under their own privacy policies.

How we use it

• To send you the emails you signed up for, such as the Weekly Checklist and occasional updates about new free resources, books, and programs.
• To reply to your messages and school inquiries.
• To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the Site.
• To keep the Site secure and working properly.

Email list and unsubscribing

Our email list is managed through GoDaddy Email Marketing, which stores your name and email address and sends our emails on our behalf. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it at any time and you'll stop getting list emails. You can also email michael@truth-speak.com and ask to be removed.

Contact form

Messages from the contact form are sent by email to michael@truth-speak.com and may also be stored in our website provider's (GoDaddy's) form records. We use them only to respond to you. We don't add you to the email list because you sent a message, unless you ask to join.

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use two tools to understand how the Site is used, such as which pages people visit and how they found us:

• GoDaddy site statistics. The Site is hosted on GoDaddy's Websites + Marketing platform, which uses its built-in statistics and cookies to run the Site and count visits.
• Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the kind of device and browser you use, and your approximate location. Google receives this information, including your IP address, when you visit. You can read how Google uses it at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

We use this information only in summary form to improve the Site. We don't use advertising pixels (such as the Facebook Pixel), and we don't use analytics to identify you personally.

How to opt out:

• Install Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop Google Analytics from using your visits.
• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. The Site should still work, though some features may not.

Children's privacy

This Site is written for parents, caregivers, coaches, and schools. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email michael@truth-speak.com and we will delete it.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We don't rent it or trade it either. We share information only:

• with service providers that help us run the Site and the email list (such as GoDaddy), only as needed to provide those services;
• if the law requires it, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our visitors, ourselves, or others.

Third-party links

The Site links to other websites, such as Amazon, Gumroad, Google Forms, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and published research. Once you leave the Site, we don't control those websites, and their own privacy policies apply. Please review them.

We keep email list information until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We keep messages and inquiries only as long as we need them to respond and for our ordinary records.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You can also email michael@truth-speak.com to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We'll do our best to respond promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Security

We use reputable service providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or email system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Provided "as is"

The Site and everything on it, including articles, checklists, and other free resources, are provided "as is" and "as available," for general information and education. We make no promises or warranties of any kind about the Site or its content, including that it is accurate, complete, or always available. The content is not medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice. Use your own judgment for your family, and talk with a qualified professional about your specific situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Michael Brown and 7 Pillars of Winning are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind that comes from using, or not being able to use, the Site, its content, or any third-party website it links to. Your use of the Site is at your own risk. Some places don't allow certain limits on liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add or change a tool we use on the Site. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. Please check back now and then. If you keep using the Site after a change is posted, the updated policy applies.
